• On-Line Zakat Payment Facilities

This service provides a convenient way of fullfilling one of the pillars of Islam. Over the past years we have noticed that more and more members are using our service. Because of the importance of zakat, this service is open to all Muslims regardless of whether they are Melayu UK members or not.

  • Members Get-together Events

Eid ul-Fitr (a celebration to mark the end of the fasting month, Ramadan) and Eid ul-Adha are joyous times for Muslims. Melayu UK organises Eid parties on these occasions..

  • Tajwid from Scratch

Our members are scattered across the UK and many live is areas where there are few Muslims and getting the opportunities to learn about Islam is limited. Those who would like to learn how to read the Quran can now subscribe to a self-pace online learning at http://tajwid.pisang.uk

Empowering Patani Malay Youth in Europe

The president of PISANG, Hamidi Abdul Rahman, was given the honour of delivering a speech to the Patani Malay Youth Association in Europe event on 23rd August 2014. Patani youths from The Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Sweden gathered in Hamburg, Germany for a 2-day event. This was the first gathering organised by the Patani Malay youth in Europe. The population of Patani Malay youths in Europe is increasing and they plan to organise further gatherings in other cities in Europe.

Ramadhan is a time when we try to increase our spirituality. It is a time when we endeavour various struggles and determined to be successful in our endevour in our spiritual journey. We can manage with skipping daily routines such as coffee or tea break. We can afford to miss our lunch even during the long daylight hours of summer but yet we are still carrying our daily obligations as normal. In addition to those, we spend more time at night in prayers in search for more spirituality.

Selamat Berpuasa & Ramadhan Mubarak

Ahli Jawatan Kuasa Melayu UK and Melayu UK Youth mengucapkan selamat menyambut bulan Ramadhan kepada semua ahli. Semoga bulan yang mulia ini dipenuhi dengan pelbagai ibadah dan kunjung-mengunjung untuk merapatkan lagi tali persaudaraan sesama kita.

The committee members of Melayu UK and Melayu UK Youth wish all our members Ramadhan Mubarak. May this blessed month be filled with lots of ibadah and visits to strengthen the brotherhood/sisterhood amongst us.

Perhimpunan Keluarga 2009 aka camping at Ashworth Valley Scout Camp went very well over the weekend. The camping attracted participants from various races, Muslims and non-Muslims. Once again the Malay community in the UK has shown that they do not just mixed around with Malays only. Mixing around with Malays only will prevent personal development and is likened to the Malay proverb "Seperti katak di bawah tempurung" (like a frog under the coconut shell).

Perhimpunan Keluarga 2009

Our Perhimpunan Keluarga (aka camping) this year will be held at Ashworth Valley Campsite. The annual Perhimpunan Keluarga is a key factor in bonding the friendship amongst our members. As in the past, we are proud to inform that this year's Perhimpunan Keluarga will be also attended by many non-Malays. This proves that the resident Malay community is not an isolated community but is increasingly playing a bigger role in the British community.

Perhimpunan Keluarga is a very important event for Melayu UK members. It is an event for the young and not so young, an event where new friendship is made and old friendship is strengthened, an event for recreation and for intellectual discourse.

The number of second and third generation Malays in our community has increased steadily over the years. This year's Perhimpunan Keluarga will focus on pro-active role of the Malays in the Britain.

This year we have booked 1 building with basic indoor accommodation and an area for camping. As there will be limited indoor accommodation, participants are requested to bring their own tents.

Update: Mobile clinics will be held in conjuction with Islamic Medical Treatment courses. Please visit www.pisang.org.uk for the latest information.

Melayu UK and PISANG (Professional Islamic Support and Nurture Group) plans to hold another mobile clinic for the screening and treatment of jinn-related problems. Jinn can cause some illnesses and modern medicine will not be able to cure those type of illnesses. Screening will be done using the Ruqyah Shar'iyyah methodology and we are planning to fly in Al-Hafiz Ustaz Trimizi Zainal to conduct the clinic.

PISANG is a non-profit organisation registered in the UK and has carried out many mobile clinics in Malaysia, Australia, Brunei, Singapore, Jordan, Egypt and UK. PISANG is highly dependent on donation to fund its activities and we hope to collect donations to cover the cost of organising the mobile clinic. Screening and treatment services will be provided free-of-charge. However we encourage donations to cover our cost. Please send us an email if you wish to pledge donation for the planned mobile clinic.

PISANG is also planning to organise a course on Introduction to Islamic Medical Treatment. Please contact us if you are interested in taking the course.
