MUSST (Melayu UK Student Support Team) was officially launched on Saturday 5th January 2008 after a group of Malay-Malaysian students identified the need for Malay students to have a friendly and trustworthy link into the British network.
The wide gap between Malay students and the rest of British society leave Malay students at a position of opportunity loss as the transferable skills rich in British society are not absorbed by Malay students. MUSST aims to bridge the gap between these two strata of society in a way where Malay students can benefit from interacting with the British society without the need to compromise their cultural and religious beliefs.
Our objectives can be summarised in 4 points:
- To encourage Malay students to absorb invaluable transferable skills from the British society to benefit their career, the Malaysian workforce and Malaysia after graduation.
- To be an access point for Malay students to enter and benefit from the UK network.
- To act as an information HUB for Malay students to find out & discuss about life as a Malay student in the UK and Ireland.
- To critically analyse the British education system in order to find ways of improving education systems and presenting solutions to those involved in the Malaysian education system.
