Malaysian Competence – Reaching the Global Level:
A Malay-Specific Careers Empowerment Workshop (1-Day Compressed Course)
Workshop Module: Enhancing Personal Quality
Although Malaysia invests heavily in the education system, and is driving to transform Malaysia from a manufacturing-based economy to a knowledge-based economy, the human resources of Malaysia are not currently at a global level. The academic achievements are high and in many occasions supersede the academic achievements of students in the West. The problem lies with the fact that although Malays are in general capable of competing within themselves, generally they have not yet been exposed to competing at a global level.
Malaysian students in the UK are in a unique position to develop their skills in interacting with the future global competitors. If this opportunity is used properly, not only will the Malaysian students’ personal careers increase chance of excelling but Malaysia will also increase her rate of reaching global level competence.
The Workshop Module Covers:
- Overview of personal quality
- Positive personal attributes
- Mastering good human relations
- Attaining superior work performance
The theory and practical will run alongside each other.
Participants will embrace several skills including:
- How to avoid common pitfalls
- How to delegate work effectively
- How to make effective decisions
- How to problem solve effectively
- How to enhance creativity
