"Driving Malaysian Students Forward"
In order for Malaysia to develop a globally competent workforce, the education system must be in a process of continual upgrade. Malaysia must understand what makes the Western education systems in general superior to the Eastern education systems. With this invaluable knowledge, Malaysia can devise strategy to drive her students forward at an accelerated rate.
MUSST has formed MERC (Malaysian Education Research Committee) to ensure that the Malaysian education system can benefit from our research and experience of the British education system.
MERC’s aims can be summarised into 3 points:
- To critically analyse the Malaysian and international education systems especially the British education system in order to understand the pros and cons of the systems and how education systems improve.
- To develop solutions on improving the Malaysian education system.
- To act as an advisory body to those involved in the Malaysian education system.
